Avocado Hummus

Here’s a twist on your typical hummus…add avocado! I serve it with pita chips and fresh veggies.


Ingredients

  • 1
    medium avocado, pitted and chopped
  • 1 Cup
    canned garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1/3 Cup
    chopped onions
  • 2
    large garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon
    lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon
    hot sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon
    ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Place in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for an hour.

    This looks pretty amazing. I have always wanted to make my own hummus, and I figured it would be a difficult task ,however, I ve found so many different recipes online for all kinds of different hummus in all kinds of flavors! I can t wait to try this one, because guacamole is my second favorite dip of choice. I guess with this recipe I can have both ?? thanks for sharing!
